Youth Involvement Day January 2020

Date: 25th Jan 2020 Author: Scout Websites

South West Region relaunched youth involvement by holding an event at the 21st Ayrshire Kilmarnock Scout Hall. The day was well attended by young people from across the Region who came together with thoughts and ideas of how to promote and develop youth involvement at firstly Regional level and then how this can be implemented within the Districts. During the day, the young people came up with what they thought youth involvement should be, the goals for the Regional Youth Advisory Group (RYAG) and then split themselves up into 3 working groups and developed an action plan on how to take each of the strands forward.

A follow up session will be arranged to continue this work and to ensure that the young people are getting the support and direction they need from myself as ARC Youth Involvement and the Regional Youth Commissioner (James Galloway).

Going forward I will update this page ensuring everyone in the Region is kept up to speed with the developments in the RYAG.

Yours in Scouting
